Hope for Radio junkies

Since I have had a Sky+ television box, I have enjoyed the luxury of being able to record and 'Time shift' my favorite TV programmes with just a couple of clicks.

But as an avid radio 4 buff I find myself wishing I could do a similar thing for Radio. There are some programmes that can be downloaded via iTunes as a [l:podcast http://www.bbc.co.uk/podcasts/help]. I still find myself listening to trailers for radio progs I would have enjoyed and then somehow missing them completely.

Well hope is at hand, as you will see from the screenshot opposite, your Sky box has a speaker icon on the top menu level, use the arrow keys to navigate to it and press [Select] and the navigate to your favourite station and press [Select] again. If you then press the [R] record button you can then put in the [l:http://www.bbc.co.uk/radio4/programmes/schedules/fm details of a programme] you wish to record (even the frequency, eg weekly) and then press the [yellow] button.

It is not as user friendly as the as recording TV programmes but it ensures that you never miss a great programme.
